Wait. What are these cameras around the Capitol Square? 📸

• You can find all the Flock ones on Deflock's interactive map (there may be other private and public cameras not listed)
• There's no information about these on the Capitol Police website. Their policies say they can use dogs and rifles but don't mention anything at all about these cameras.
• These cameras put our community in danger:
  • There is no transparency, or oversight from the community.
    • In the case of the Capitol Police here, we don't even know when the contract was signed or who approved it or what the terms are
  • ICE and other federal entities have gotten access to Flock cameras elsewhere
  • Flock is a private company, making them a sort of accountability sink where the powers that be can just say "not our problem"
